The developers of RollerCoaster Tycoon World and their publisher Atari have announced that the game will not release in December 2015, and instead it will release in early 2016 after considering the feedback they’ve received from the first public beta test they had.
The issues/problems that were brought of were along the lines of having a better coaster builder – even though it’s the best of it’s kind out there and there’s nothing competing with it – better coaster test feedback, a better grid system and apparently the need to have a better fencing system.
We’ve played the beta and we were very happy with it. Aside from what the developers have focused feedback on regarding their post, most of the complaints were nitpicking/stupid ones. Regarding the coaster builder, it’s the best of it’s kind and the most innovative one we’ve seen as no other has done it yet in free-form 3D fashion with it being super easy and intuitive to use to use.
The only valid issues we’ve seen that they actually need to improve on is the coaster test feedback system, and just adding a road-click for the OCD people like me to have everything organized. Aside from these two, the first beta was extremely promising to what’s to come in the released version, and I really hope the developers don’t “listen” to the fans blindly and worsen the game, but calculate the feedback and compare it to their own vision as they clearly know what their doing with the franchise.
