DOOM was announced some time ago, a teaser came out a little bit later and now we got the full blast with a new gameplay trailer, gameplay videos showcasing different levels, guns, fun executions and bosses alongside multiplayer game modes and content creation tools.
The push they’re giving the game is an awesome one. A lot of content, mod tools, gore, guns and a crazy world, plus it looks great too in terms of visuals, but it’s a shame that it won’t look as good, or even play as fun as what we’ve seen in those trailers and videos.
That’s just me from being disappointed so many times by E3 trailers. Just to name a few, Killzone, Bioshock: Infinite, Watch Dogs, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Far Cry 3, Aliens: Colonial Marines, and much more. Not only were they downgraded in terms of graphics, but some of them were just bad and nothing like how awesome they made it out to be initially.
What I’m hoping for is what we’ve seen so far is what we’ll get on launch if not better, or at the very least a really fun game if they were to downgrade its visuals like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Plus I do have hope that we’ll get what we’ve seen because of its release next year and the upcoming beta this year or so. But just to be safe, I’m expecting a bad game in the end and if we get a good game that’s true to what we’ve seen this E3, then applause to Bethesda.
